‘The events of recent years have challenged Muslims and Christians to work together in order to acknowledge our differences, to affirm our common humanity, and to seek ways to share life together. Much has already been achieved, and nothing must undermine the progress that we have made. These attacks strengthen our determination to live together in peace, and to grow together in mutual understanding."

Feed the Minds believes that education saves lives, reduces poverty and builds community.

Feed the Minds supports projects that aim to transform lives in developing countries through education, communication and the provision of information to people with few resources to create or access their own.

We are an ecumenical Christian organisation. We support education and communications programmes worldwide that aim to improve the material and spiritual lives of the wider communities in which our partners live and work.

Feed the Minds was inspired to launch the ‘Peacemakers’ project following the events of July 7th in London. Subsequent concern over the development of a climate of division, suspicion and fear amongst ordinary citizens of the UK’ from different cultural and religious backgrounds, demands our response.

The scriptures and the traditions of both Muslim and Christian communities repudiate the use of indiscriminate violence. Religious precepts cannot be used to justify such acts, which are contrary to their teaching and practice.

Feed the Minds believes that people of all faiths and none can work together in pursuit of peace, justice and the common good. Feed the Minds believes that the key to this is education and communication.

Feed the Minds will, as part of this project, be producing and issuing resources for the use of teachers, religious leaders, community interfaith workers and all those dedicated to building peace and mutual respect.
